**UPDATE** After the merger of Discovery and Scripps, the new Travel Channel executives informed us they would not be pursuing food related programming. Our show will now air on their sister network Destination America on Saturday, June 23rd at 10pm EST / 9pm CT. PLEASE TUNE IN and join us on social media using the hashtag #WildFood and tagging @GPellegrini and @DestAmerica on Twitter!

Hi Friends,

Today I’m officially Announcing My New TV Show on Travel Channel Destination America! If you get my newsletter, you read a few weeks ago about my journey making a new TV show. It is a project I have been working on with my amazing producer for almost 2 years, and it has been an intense, exciting, and trying process. I turned down TV opportunities until this point because in a field of reality TV that embarrasses people I felt strongly that I wanted to create content that added value and joy to people’s lives, a show that makes us slow down, inspires us to use our hands and think about where our food comes from. I can say I am really proud of this show and the thousands of hours we put into it. It’s a ton of fun to watch with moments that will have you laughing and also have your heart pounding.

The show is called “Wild Food” and will air in a primetime slot on Travel Channel. In each episode, I take you along with me on wild and exciting adventures across the globe to source my ingredients for my next great meal, and to meet interesting people in other cultures along the way. At the end of each episode, I cook it all up in a delicious feast for my new friends, and for you.

It is premiering soon on Travel Channel Destination America!

And I’d really like for you to watch the pilot when it airs! Ratings matter so much. I’ll keep ya posted on the premiere date.

I am told I will be their first female host in about 14 years, since the wonderful Samantha Brown pioneered the field as their very first host. It’s pretty wild. Literally. Ha.

Below is a sneak peak from moments filming. I have also posted a whole bunch of other sneak peaks today on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

I’ll be sharing more behind-the-scenes goodies in the weeks to come along with some juicy giveaways during each commercial break while it airs to those who post using #wildfood and tag me and @travelchannel @DestAmerica. Sign up for my newsletter on the bottom right of this website for more details soon.

Also, also, also. Thank YOU for your support in my work in the last 10 years. You’re the reason I hop out of bed in the morning. I love ya to the moon and back.
