Can I just take a moment to say that I think it’s strange that fish eat their own eggs?
Okay, I just wanted to put that out there. I feel better now.
Actually, I’ve seen a lot of animals eat their own offspring. We might be one of the few animals that don’t. Just a lovely thought for a Tuesday morning.
I can’t say that the fish were eagerly biting though this past weekend. These beautiful fishing rods didn’t get a very good workout.
The pressure kept rising and falling all morning long and so the fish kept going lower as it got colder. I think the weather conditions could’ve only been worse if a funnel cloud touched down at the launch ramp. And, I think I saw one coming.

But I got to work on my cast. My right arm muscle is looking very toned today. Even if I still can’t feel my right pinkie.
But then just as my fingers were starting to turn a bit blue, guess what happened?
Guess what that is…
It was a fighter so I had to be a bit more patient than I like to be.
Now would also be a good time to tell you that I’m not patient. Okay, I feel better now.
Give and take, give and take… for what seemed like quite a while…And then out came a big boy Steelhead.
Which was a relief because we were starting to worry that we would be eating cheetos for lunch.
But we didn’t. We ate big boy Steelhead. Right on the river bank. I’ll show ya how we cooked it up tomorrow.
(As you can see, my pinkie assumed its position)
