On G’s recent travels to Savanah, GA she discovered the best turmeric latte at a local café and ever since we have been trying to recreate this magic back at home. It took some trial and error with combining elements of several different recipes, but we think we finally got it right. This is our At Home Turmeric Latte Recipe.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Ground Turmeric
Ground Ginger  
Ground Cinnamon
Ground Nutmeg
Non-Diary Unsweetened Milk
Coconut Oil
Vanilla Extract
Raw Sugar
Kosher Salt

This magical golden spice is showing up everywhere lately from skincare, toothpaste to the kitchen.  The reason for this is because of all of the benefits it packs. Turmeric boosts your immune system through its amazing anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-microbial properties.

It also helps to increase your white blood cell count, detoxify your body and promote a healthy metabolism.  YES, PLEASE.  Turmeric is even credited to help with menstrual cramps and arthritis management.

We added a little bit of Coconut Oil to sneak in a healthy fat, we picked up this trick from a Paleo recipe.

At Home Turmeric Latte

One of the reasons we love turmeric so much is for its anti-inflammatory properties and digestive boost. By heating the milk you extract the curcumin, which is the main active ingredient in turmeric. It is an anti-inflammatory powerhouse.

This is an easy recipe, just be sure you keep whisking the ingredients so that it can properly froth. You also want to have a towel handy because just a little of this golden spice can leave quite a stain if you aren’t careful.

“At Home Turmeric Latte”

Prep Time10 mins
Cook Time10 mins
Servings: 1 -2 depending on preferred size


  • 1 1/2 cup Non-Diary Unsweetened Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1/2 tablespoon Coconut Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • Pinch of Kosher Salt
  • Raw Sugar To Taste


  • Mix all ingredients together.
  • Bring to boil on stove.
  • Whisk ingredients until frothy.
  • Let simmer for a couple minutes.
  • Serve!
