These are my Food Heroes. These are their stories.

If you have a copy of my book Food Heroes, this is something extra I gathered along the way for you.

This page is dedicated to Sue Forrester who lived in Cumbria, England. She churned butter and recited poems while she churned. She made them up as she went along and never wrote them down. I was lucky enough to have her write one down for my book. She passed away this Spring which was deeply saddening. She was so generous and warm and I’m grateful her daughter had the poem to use at her memorial, and to keep for the history books.
