I’m making a Chai Infused Bourbon Cocktail using Wolcott Kentucky Straight Bourbon from Total Wine!
Chai Infused Bourbon Cocktail
Servings: 2 people
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Wolcott Kentucky Straight Bourbon
- 2 chai tea bags or 2 teaspoons loose chai tea
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tsp granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, plus mint sprigs, for garnish
- 5 ice cubes
Instructions
- Combine bourbon and tea bags in a 1-quart mason jar. Let steep 15 minutes. Discard tea bags (or strain mixture, if using loose tea, and return infused bourbon to jar).
- Add lemon zest, sugar, and mint leaves to jar. Add at least 5 ice cubes to a cocktail shaker along with 4 oz of the bourbon mixture and shake it well.
- Strain into two coup glasses and garnish with mint sprigs.
Notes
Makes 2 cocktails, the remaining infused bourbon can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
