The art of turning typical kitchen items into healthy body products is something we do regularly, especially given how many chemicals are now in the store-bought stuff, not to mention how expensive they are! We love the idea of getting resourceful and knowing exactly what is in our products, and keeping it as natural as possible. G, herself, is constantly on the road traveling so one of the top beauty products she uses is dry shampoo. Also great for keeping you feeling beautiful and smelling good while adventuring in the great outdoors for the weekend. We did some research and experimented with several different recipes and tweaked it until we found the best DIY Natural Dry Shampoo, to keep you feeling fresh while you’re out adventuring.
DIY Natural Dry Shampoo:
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- 1/2 Cup of Oatmeal
- 1 Tbsp Corn Starch
- 5 drops Lavender Oil
- 5 drop Peppermint Oil
- 1 tsp. Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (*this is only necessary if you are a brunette)
- Blender
- A container to store it. An old salt or pepper shaker is the best because it helps distribute the Dry Shampoo evenly and saves you from using too much. You can also use an old, but clean makeup brush to apply and avoid the clump.
