This mask is best used when you are suffering from dry and irritated skin.

Oats have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory powers to moisturize and aide heal skin. They work on sunburn, eczema, itchy skin, and so much more. It only takes 3 ingredients too!

Honey helps to fight off free radicals, can help reduce dark spots and sun damage. (But don’t forget even in the winter, use your sunscreen!)

Here’s what you’ll need:

2 tsp. Honey (Raw & Organic honey is best, bonus points if it’s local, check out your local farmers market or health food store for some)

1/3 cup of Oat Flour (or you simply can ground up regular oats, as always organic is best)

1/2 cup of Yogurt (organic whole milk yogurt is preferred)

Brush (although not necessary it really gives you that at home spa feel and even distribution a clean paint brush works great!)

How to:

This one is easy-peasy. Simply mix the above ingredients in a bowl.

The measurements don’t have to be super exact; really, everyone likes a different consistency to their own mask.

Apply evenly avoiding the eyes and mouth.

Let it sit for 10-20 minutes. (Enjoy a good podcast or read a good book, it’s always a good idea to multitask some self-care.)

Coffee & Egg Eye Mask

This one is perfect to add to your morning routine. It helps erase puffiness and discoloration. Coffee’s anti-oxidants can fight the free radicals that age skin and attack discoloration and fine lines. The caffeine in coffee is a great diuretic to reduce swelling and puffiness. Combining this with the protein backed power of egg whites is amazing.

Here’s what you’ll need:

1 Egg (egg white if you’re just focusing on the under-eye, but if your skin is extra dry, add a bit of the yolk or use the yolk on other areas of the face.)

2 tsp. Coffee Grounds (unused coffee grounds are best because they have the highest concentration of caffeine, but use used ones are fine too if the coffee has just been brewed)

How to:

Combine the egg white and coffee grounds in a small bowl.

Use a fork and beat the mixture until it has a frothy texture. This shouldn’t take more than a minute.

Apply the mask underneath the eyes or anywhere you have some puffiness.

Let it dry for 10 minutes. We suggest while you make your bed or you could do a little DIY lip scrubbing because winter is definitely taking a toll on our lips, too.

You’ll literally feel your skin tightening as the mask dries.

Take a damp towel and wipe away the mask and continue your morning routine.
